“When making this work I wanted to think about landscape as if standing in one place - thinking about not just that landscape but what it reminded me of while contemplating it considering space and time.
The patterns in the rocks speak of millennia and they are in themselves a small part of a larger picture.
In my mind I’ve considered my journeys in the outback in NSW and even crossing the Nullarbor Desert in my minds eye as a child in 1965. There are also contemplations viewing the rocks of the Noosa foreshore.
I imagine place without people or a time when the nature of the land was not dominated by the people who inhabited it.'“
